Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to complete weekend delivery routes on schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and weight restrictions.
- Obtain and sign proof of delivery documents for all shipments, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain accurate logs and records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at every stop.
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT medical card) and current DOT number.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedules, including overnight shifts and weekends off.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading.
