Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes within North Carolina.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate digital logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
