Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate Daily Driver Logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and team members to ensure high-quality customer service and resolve delivery issues as they arise.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow route maps and GPS instructions to optimize delivery times and minimize fuel consumption.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) regulations is a plus but not required.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
