Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with all traffic and transportation laws.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safe driving practices.
- Basic math skills for weighing loads and calculating miles.
