Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securement and safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging (EOBR) and paperwork for all trips.
- Adhere to time schedules to ensure timely delivery of freight to customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Practice defensive driving techniques at all times to ensure safety on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
