Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to transport cargo to designated delivery locations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Secure cargo properly and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (with appropriate endorsements).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
