Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school, field trips, and extracurricular events
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student conduct policies and maintain a positive bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and district policies
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident documentation
- Provide assistance to students with special mobility needs
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B CDL with passenger/air brake endorsements
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and clean driving record (no major violations)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate bus steps
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Flexibility for early morning/afternoon shifts
