Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and care
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass background check and DOT physical
- Excellent driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and climb bus steps repeatedly
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and compassion when working with children
- Flexibility to cover routes during peak hours and events
