Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for overnight freight delivery across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to maintain FMCSA compliance
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safety protocols
- Submit accurate trip documentation and electronic logs via ELD
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes and delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Ability to work flexible overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and surrounding routes
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for minor repairs
