Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, straps, and chains, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if you are a new graduate.
