Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle safety compliance
- Adapt routes based on traffic conditions and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to obtain NYC commercial driving permits if needed
- Strong knowledge of NYC metropolitan area
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
