Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in accordance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Execute timely and accurate loading and unloading of freight using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and load management.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and reporting.
