Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for on-time deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load management
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling throughout transit
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Complete required documentation and post-trip vehicle maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work irregular schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
