Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in the El Paso area and beyond.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during transit.
