Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods along designated routes in Washington DC metropolitan area
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize routes for efficiency while adhering to traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Commercial driving experience preferred, especially in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC streets and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
