Responsibilities
- Deliver Packages: Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and business addresses within the Portland metro area.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on your assigned vehicle to ensure it is clean, fueled, and in excellent working condition before and after every shift.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to every client, handling packages with care and ensuring 100% on-time delivery rates.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork, including proof of delivery and vehicle mileage records.
- Safe Driving: Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and the community.
- Problem Solving: Handle unexpected route changes or delivery issues professionally to minimize delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years).
- Reliable Vehicle: Access to a reliable, well-maintained vehicle suitable for local delivery (or ability to rent one through our program).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to follow GPS directions and route instructions accurately.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Portland, OR area and traffic patterns is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
