Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations safely and on time.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts for all shipments.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle size).
- Achieved or eligible to achieve a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information.
