Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B CDL required) safely and efficiently across various routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding cargo status and delivery schedules.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Resolve delivery issues professionally while maintaining a high customer satisfaction rating.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and DOT Hours of Service regulations.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality record.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
