Responsibilities
- Efficiently transport packages to various commercial and residential locations across the Washington DC metropolitan area.
- Ensure the safe handling, loading, and unloading of all cargo to maintain a 100% damage-free record.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to company etiquette standards.
- Navigate complex urban routes using GPS and mapping software to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after each shift.
- Utilize handheld devices to record delivery information and maintain accurate digital logs.
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize routes and manage peak-hour demand effectively.
Qualifications
- A valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a reliable personal vehicle.
- Access to a smartphone with a data plan for real-time navigation and order management.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong navigation skills and the ability to read maps in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude toward customers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
