Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles in the Long Beach, VA area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using dollies, hand trucks, and proper lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery contents against manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring packages are delivered with care.
- Inspect the vehicle daily for cleanliness and mechanical issues; report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and route planning.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
