Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Detroit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route challenges
- Assist with loading/unloading packages and basic warehouse organization tasks
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate delivery vehicles safely
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Basic smartphone proficiency for GPS navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
