Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using loading equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents (BOLs, manifests).
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and navigate efficiently to meet time-critical deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to read and comprehend maps, delivery orders, and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
