Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy vehicles in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Manage daily logs (DOT 3073/3075) accurately, including Hours of Service (HOS) and mileage tracking.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, both on and off the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of roadmaps and navigation systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
