Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on long-haul routes from Detroit to Florida.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, verifying weights and securing loads according to DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and physical.
- Strong understanding of interstate trucking regulations and safety protocols.
