Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed)
- Plan efficient routes using GPS and company dispatch systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch
- Perform minor maintenance checks and report issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (A or B)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of Texas highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend work
