Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on designated routes in the New York area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, including DOT compliance paperwork and mileage reports.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT medical card) and DOT number.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic laws, roadways, and local delivery zones.
