Job Overview
As a CDL Driver for Apex, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the state of Florida and to California. We are looking for dedicated individuals who take pride in their work and maintain a high standard of safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a professional and courteous manner.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage and fuel expenses.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of the job.
