Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required (Clean driving record is mandatory).
- Current DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain one.
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving commercial trucks in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and cargo handling.
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
