Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in and around the New York metropolitan area.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain necessary signatures from recipients.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling inquiries professionally and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good mechanical condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 minor moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
