Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques.
- Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure safe operations.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation for each route.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and hazmat protocols when applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and materials.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and navigation systems.
- Valid DOT medical card.
