Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport freight safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and delivered in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for using ELDs and cargo management systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
