Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet tight deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight securely using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Operate specialized equipment including refrigerated or flatbed trailers as assigned
- Respond proactively to changing weather and road conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong commitment to safety compliance and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Experience with multi-stop delivery routes preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
