Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Efficiently manage daily delivery routes using GPS technology to optimize time and fuel
- Verify delivery details, handle packages with care, and obtain proper documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any vehicle maintenance concerns immediately
- Collaborate with dispatch team to update delivery statuses and adjust routes as needed
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform pre/post-trip inspections
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of NYC boroughs and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
