Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and time-sensitive materials across Austin and surrounding areas
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and maximum efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper customer signatures for all shipments
- Conduct thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional interactions
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and provide real-time updates
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent commercial driving background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Austin geography, including major highways and neighborhood layouts
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple deliveries
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability and constant connectivity
- Pass background check and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
