Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages, documents, and medical supplies across Raleigh and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and real-time GPS tracking updates
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup/delivery interactions
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws
- Assist with loading/unloading of shipments up to 50 lbs
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and communicate with dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid NC driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and DOT physical
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for delivery documentation
- Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
