Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and medical supplies throughout the Chicago metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon completion
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Handle special instructions for fragile or temperature-sensitive shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago streets and surrounding areas preferred
