Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to DOT regulations and schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding shipment status
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather and traffic conditions
- Complete proper paperwork including delivery confirmations and mileage reports
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and route planning
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible schedules
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices
- Strong commitment to safety compliance and customer service excellence
