Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage documentation including bills of lading and delivery receipts
- Assist in loading/unloading cargo when required at distribution centers
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Physical ability to handle cargo and perform inspections
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
