Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while maintaining inventory records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance services
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
