Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently during night shift hours
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Transport freight to designated destinations adhering to strict delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and ETA updates
- Secure and verify cargo documentation for all shipments
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance troubleshooting as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highways
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) preferred
