Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials across assigned routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and troubleshoot delays
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of Florida and Southeastern US highway systems
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
- DOT physical certification and Hazmat endorsement preferred
