Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) in Chicago metropolitan area
- Maintain meticulous logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Deliver freight on time while prioritizing safety protocols
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient navigation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Adhere to all DOT and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago-area highways and delivery zones
- Flexibility for overnight regional runs
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- DOT-compliant medical card required
