Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across Washington DC metropolitan routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring cargo integrity and security
- Comply with all federal FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning and time management
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Maintain professional conduct while interacting with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Washington DC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
