Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for multi-stop deliveries throughout Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service during cargo handling and delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time communication
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and optimize operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC traffic patterns and local regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
