Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds, or reefers)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes
- Represent SwiftWay professionally with clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license (required)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Flexibility for early morning start times
- Basic navigation skills (GPS familiarity)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year commercial driving preferred (not required)
