Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) in Washington DC metropolitan area
- Deliver freight to commercial and residential locations with precision
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle hazardous materials endorsements when required
- Maintain clean driving record and zero-tolerance policy for violations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of DC/MD/VA roadways and delivery protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for early morning/late night shifts
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
