Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) in the New Orleans metro area
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Secure cargo and ensure proper handling of materials
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all state/federal laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with Louisiana roadways and delivery zones
- hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided)
