Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for regional deliveries and long-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems for on-time deliveries
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions and ETA updates
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training available)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for irregular schedules including nights/weekends
