Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Virginia and surrounding regions
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Build positive client relationships through professional communication
- Report maintenance issues and ensure vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and transportation regulations
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and trip planning software
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
