Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Louisiana and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device records
- Coordinate with dispatch team to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient routing
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment while following safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Adapt to changing schedules and weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-provided)
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service rules
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Louisiana highway systems
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
